Design your home with the Feng Shui technique

  • by

The Feng Shui technique, which translates as wind and water, is based on the conscious and harmonious occupation of space and achieving, through it, a positive influence on the people who occupy it.

This technique originates from Chinese culture and has nothing to do with decorating well, but rather with awareness and without cluttering the space.

And how is it put into practice?

It is a technique that cannot be explained in an article, but we will give the basic concepts and ideas to understand it a little better. The first step is to organize different rooms in the house, since disorder causes a negative mood.

Colours are very important to achieve harmony and peace in your home. For the bedroom, pink tones are recommended, as they transmit tranquillity and we can accompany this harmony with relaxing air fresheners a few hours before going to sleep.

If we want to get a good night's sleep, it is important that the bed is not placed in a certain way. The place where we put our two feet or where we put our head should not be placed facing the door, nor placed right under a window.

The mobile phone should not be left on the bedside table, in order to avoid electromagnetic waves and to be able to rest better. The bed should be the absolute protagonist of the space and should be placed diagonally and opposite the door.

Mirrors can also help us create harmony at home. By placing one in the living room you will see the positive effect it transmits, as well as helping you see the space more spaciously.

As for the living room table, it should preferably be round and made of wood, to create the appearance of a calm and comfortable home. The sofas should be placed without facing each other, forming 90-degree angles and avoiding having them all in a row, so that communication is fluid.

If we have a fireplace, the fire is wonderful for creating even more comfort and harmony in our home. For lighting, it is advisable to have general lighting and spot lighting, to decide what intensity of light we want.

As far as the bathroom is concerned, it should adapt to the dimensions of the space, creating an area of privacy, comfort and showing only what can be seen and providing order and cleanliness, without elements that disturb the calm.

Plants can help you find the harmonious and relaxing balance you are looking for. Just like air fresheners, which can help create a state of peace and serenity, thanks to relaxing scents such as lavender, for example.
